Polokwane Bird and Reptile Park– The park is one of the largest municipal reserves in the country and is home to over 280 bird species, both indigenous and exotic. The park also includes an aquarium and houses snakes, lizards, crocodiles and water birds.

The Mokopane Biodiversity Centre in Mokopane, not far from Polokwane and on the outskirts of the Waterberg Region of the Limpopo is a must visit for anyone who appreciates and is concerned with nature and wildlife and the crisis facing many species around the world.

The Polokwane Game Reserve– One of the biggest municipal-owned game reserves in South Africa, the Polokwane Game Reserve’s main attraction must be the amount of ground one can cover on foot – there are a number of walks, including a one-day 20 kilometre hiking trail with overnight accommodation.
